Cap on medicine prices for the coming three years

The Minister of Health and Prevention, Astrid Krag, and the Chair of the Danish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry (Lif), Dorthe Mikkelsen has signed a three year price-cap agreement on medicine prices.

Lif’s ethical rules for dialogue and negotiations with decision-makers

Lif is of the opinion that the pharmaceutical industry’s cooperation and communication activities must be transparent. Therefore Lif’s members have obliged themselves through an ethical code to ensure independence and openness in the communication with the politicians and the authorities.

The Danish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry (Lif) is an association with 36 members. Lif's member companies are behind the majority of the industrial medical research carried out in Denmark.

Lif works for pharmaceuticals to be visible to Danish society and recognised in a patient-centric public health service and the pharmaceutical industry to be perceived as a responsible partner that makes a valuable contribution to society

Lif endeavours to obtain the best possible conditions for the pharmaceutical industry to undertake research, to develop, market and provide information about pharmaceuticals and in this way to ensure patients of broad and rapid access to the best medical treatment.
